Grimmett Tree Founder

From The Office To The Outdoors

Monty grew up with the rhythm of the land in his blood. Raised on a small family farm, his earliest memories were of dawns spent feeding livestock, tending crops, and learning the quiet patience that comes from working the soil. Those formative years instilled in him a deep respect for hard work, self-reliance, and the cycles of nature.

Driven by curiosity and a hunger for knowledge, Monty pursued higher education, earning degrees in both Information Technology and Psychology—a rare combination that reflected his dual passions for problem-solving and understanding people. His unique skill set opened doors to the corporate world, where he spent over 30 years working for various Fortune 100 companies. Over the decades, Monty became known for his ability to bridge the gap between technology and human behavior, leading teams, managing large-scale projects, and navigating the fast-paced demands of global business.

Yet, despite his success, Monty felt a pull back toward the outdoors—a longing for the tangible satisfaction of physical work and the independence of building something of his own. The corporate boardrooms and endless meetings began to feel like a cage, and he yearned for a life where his labor produced visible, lasting results.

In a bold move, Monty decided to start a tree removal and land clearing business and build it from the ground up. Combining his business acumen with his hands-on work ethic, he built a company rooted in precision, safety, and respect for the land. For Monty, it wasn’t just about cutting trees—it was about helping people reclaim and transform their property, much like he had reclaimed his own life.
